Mrs. Neena Varma established Alipore Tiny Tots Nursery in 1962 with 5 students. Her vision was to lay the foundation for schooling toddlers in a very focused yet friendly environment and prepare her primary school students to get accepted in the best junior schools in Kolkata.

Mrs. Neena Varma's Ethos was to give the students a strong foundation so that they could be prepared for the very competitive world outside. Her strong 'inclusive' mind-set meant that students from all stratas of society and religious backgrounds were encouraged and included. Modern teaching techniques, with a balanced approach taking cognisance of old Indian values of respect, compassion, humility, and sharing are inculcated and reinforced to the students by the teachers .

New technology, and innovation in this sector has improved tremendously during the Covid-19 pandemic,and due to the physical Lock-Down of schools, online classes, activities, and hobbies, tasks are taken tokeep the children engaged, and set a routine.

Computer and IT Lessons

Computer and IT classes are so essential for Children and adults alike. at ATTN, we see this as being very important, and encourage our children to get familiar with the hardware, the terms, such as Mouse, Keyboard, CPU, and dwell into IT - information technology at an early age. Care is taken not to confuse or overwhelm the children at this age, but with smart phones in every home, children are familiar with social media, and other computer activities as play, games at home. We will also have beginners classes (tbc) for Parents as an after school club, so they too can catch up and learn and update along with familiarising themselves with new technology
