The school was established in 1962 with 5 students by Mrs. Neena Varma whose vision was that the nursery would lay the foundation for schooling for toddlers and prepare them for high schools in a child friendly atmosphere.

Mrs. Neena Varma's ethos was to give the students a stong foundation so that they could be prepared for the competitive world outside her strong 'inclusive' mind-set meant that students from all strata of society and religious background were encouraged and included . Modern teaching techniques, with a balanced approach taking cognisance of old Indian values of respect, compassion, humility and sharing our inculcated and reinforced to the students by the teacher .
